Chloe is GREAT on her 'LIKE-A-BIKE'!

She's 3 and can Pimp her LIKE-A-BIKE. We call it her Mountain Bike and she is getting really at good balancing. She spins circles in the driveway "scary fast" and she giggles the whole time!

My neighbors gave me a trike - so that will teach her how to pedal SAFELY. No training wheels for my girl!

Home Video

So we finally downloaded a couple of discs worth of video from our camcorder (for the first time ever) and it's been fun watching the "old" video. It's amazing how much Chloe and Parker resemble each other as babies. They really have similar mannerisms and speach habits. It was a lot of fun to watch.

It was also a treat to see my grandma on video (it's been almost a year since she passed). She never liked having her picture taken and she can be heard saying "oh you've got that thing [the camcorder] out again". What a great gift this technology can be - I got to hear her voice and see her again like she was just here visiting. I wish she were.

Here she is with Chloe in the summer of 2005.

This is so cliche but it's amazing how much a kid can change in three years!

Parker Loves Peaches

Father's day weekend - we had a nice lunch together before Ray headed out for a bike ride. We gave Parker peaches for the first time and his faces were hilarious. Hope you enjoy.

Donuts with Dad @ School Today

One cool thing that the kids' school does is have events around holidays/special days. Today was "Donuts with Dad".

I let Chloe pic the donut that she wanted. I then went and sat down and had a donut with her. We both had a blast!

Sammy wanted Chloe to sit by him. I think he's got an eye for her! ;)

Sunset Ceremony

Erin and Tim had the most magnificent weather for their beachfront wedding. It was one of the most glorious sunsets I have ever seen. I can't wait to see her pictures. She was a beautiful bride - and Tim didn't look too bad either. Here they are as husband and wife.

I had a really rough time getting to Florida but it was well worth it once I finally got there (24 hours late!). For anyone planning to travel on Northwest Airlines - take this advice. If the website says your flight is running late, double check the departure time against another source.

I didn't get out of there on Thursday due to weather. I was rescheduled for an early flight Friday morning and checked the website before I left the house. It said my flight was running over an hour late. I took my time and when I got to the airport, they told me the plane was backing away from the gate only 15 minutes late. They couldn't explain to me why the website would have told me otherwise. Ugh!

Ray & the kids got along well without me. It sounds like they had some wild weather. Our neighbor lost two trees and a tornado touched down just a few miles from here. Scary but everyone is fine!

Big Weekend!

I am leaving town today - heading to Florida for my sister's wedding this Saturday on the beach! I cried when I left the kids at school :( This is my first time away from Parker and Ray's first time managing both kids by himself. He's a trooper though and I know he will do fine. I on the otherhand will probably be a wreck! I will miss my family terribly but look forward getting to be with Erin on her special day!

Parker had a follow up appointment with the ENT today. His tubes look good so hopefully we've seen the end of the ear infections. Chloe got a sucker at the doctor's office, which she enjoyed thoroughly! It has to be a good day if you get candy before 9:00 a.m. (yep, she's my child!).

Hugs & kisses to my babies. I love you and will miss you!

Iowa Visit

We got to go to Iowa to visit grandma & grandpa Fryer yesterday. Chloe enjoyed their backyard but she was terrified of bugs and of the neighbor's horse. Here is Great Grandma Fryer, Grandma Charlotte, Emily and Addison and Chloe.

Why Chloe and I chose the horse pasture as a background, I have no idea. Thanks Aunt Rebecca for taking our picture!

Crazy Sleeper

I just walked by Parker's room a little while ago and this is how I found him. Sound alseep, feet hanging through the crib. He's wearing his new monster jammies - aren't they cute?

That's his friend bubbles. He was actually Parker's gift to Chloe when he was born but Chloe didn't like him and didn't care if we gave him to Parker. It's a good thing because Parker LOVES him!
