Getting Ready for the 4th!
Each night in Omaha provided a little bit of "groundhog day". Hang out with family, kids play, eat good food and then retire outside to light off fireworks. Greg and Ray's perfect night.
Never too old to get excited about "blowing stuff up"
Guess who inherited a love of fireworks?
Happy to spectate and drink lemonade!
Chloe takes after me!
Open for Business in Omaha!
Grandpa helped Chloe and Parker with their first Lemonade stand during our visit to Omaha last week.
Chloe produced all of her own signage. Her price started out as $5 then grandpa suggested she add a 0 to make it $0.50 but it didn't quite come out the right way. Fortunately the price did not scare away any customers! They made $8!
First customer!
Chloe was a good sales person - waving down and even chasing after a few passers-by.
Dad supervised from the shady front porch.
The Gibsons Visit Texas!
We were so excited to have Greg, Rebecca, Emily and Addie visit us in June! We took them to all of our favorite neighborhood spots including the dragon park and of course, the pool (it was hot!).
Look at this teamwork as they climb the dragon!
Dance Recital
Chloe's dance recital was held at TCU's auditorium. She did two dances and was GREAT in both of them! She takes lessons at school so it's been a long time since we were able to watch her. She is on the right in both of her dances dances.
We had to be there pretty early so Parker got a little antsy waiting for the show to start!
Chloe's 7th Birthday
Chloe celebrated her 7th birthday a little bit late this year (in May) but had a really fun party at Bounce U!
Here she is with two classmates from Mrs. Gonzalez's first grade class
Parker had SOOO much fun. I couldn't get him to hold still for a picture. Fortunately I got an action shot with a smile!
So fun she couldn't even open her eyes!
Parker and Leo tried their hands at boxing.
They're finally sitting still - they were parched and hungry!

Good Bye Tanner
It was almost exactly 13 years ago that we first brought Tanner home. He was a scared, 10-pound baby who shook on my lap the whole way home from the breeder. It didn't take him long to acclimate and in true Labrador form, his crazy puppy personality came out.
He was our first "baby" and boy was he spoiled. My mom fondly referred to him as her granddog. Those early years were so much fun. As our family grew, he took it all in stride and was a faithful companion until the end.
Our house will never be the same. We will miss you Bub....
