Catching Up Part II

I think I mentioned that I had a flat tire in the middle of Kansas during our caravan (which consisted of my car with the frogs, cat and plants), Ray's car (with the dogs, kids and pulling a U-Haul) to Dallas.

It was 90+, 50 mph winds and a divided 2-lane highway literally 50 miles from any sort of town. It was a nightmare but my hero husband finally got the donut on so we could hobble into Salina, where I've never been so happy to see a Walmart EVER.

We got two new (cheap) tires so that we could exceed 50 mph for the last 60 or so miles of our first leg into Wichita.

See that jug of water? Parker thought it would be fun to dump it out on the road, despite the fact that we were all melting in the heat.

Catching Up Part I

Chloe graduated from Goddard's Pre-K program in May. It was so sweet, I barely made it through without sobbing. Grandma didn't fare as well when Chloe's friend Abby's mom was talking to her about the girls saying goodbye to each other :(.

We Made it to Texas!

We are all moved in to our new home north of Dallas! Our house is getting organized - we are mostly unpacked and just trying to get our stuff to fit in the new house. Chloe and Parker love their new yard although it is totally overrun by mosquitos. We have people coming this week to install mosquito mitigation in our yard. Our kids are polka dotted with bites on their arms and legs :(

I'll get some pictures posted soon. Happy Memorial Day to all!

Chloe's 5th Birthday at MyGym

What a great place to have a kid's birthday party. They did such a good job - the kids were exhausted. It's worth every penny!

Chloe let Parker come too!

It's been WAY too long!

What can I say, we've been really busy.

We are moving to Dallas in May! Ray accepted a job working for Jeff Hughes, whom he worked with for several years right out of college. He's really excited about a new and totally different work adventure.

We got our house on the market Easter weekend and it was sold on Monday, the first day it was available for showing. Our buyer is a former Maverick Hockey player which is pretty wild since we love UNO hockey! Hopefully their family will enjoy this house as much as we have. We are sad to leave it (and our family, neighbors, coworkers and friends).

We have a great new house in Lewisville Texas in the Castle Hills neighborhood. It's a fantastic area for families and we're hopeful we'll meet some great people there!

Here are some pictures from Easter at Ray's parents house.

Chloe has the easter egg hunt down!

Parker was so excited to get this easter egg that he ran square into the fence. He looks really upset but let me tell you, he bounced back QUICKLY!

Playing Outside at Last!

We finally got a nice day to play outside and enjoy some sunshine!

Tomorrow is Chloe's birthday so we have a bunch of fun stuff planned! Ray and I have the day off so we're going to play on the trampoline (which Ray and I plan to assemble this evening), go to lunch at Hector's and then Cupcake Island. Omaha friends, if you haven't been there, you should go! Chloe is so excited for her birthday and her birthday party, which is next weekend. She and 19 friends will have the run of My Gym.

She's already gotten one present so far - a Zhu Zhu pet from Grandma & Grandpa named Coco. She has had a blast playing with it already.

Texas Trip

We spent last weekend in Texas visiting some old friends. They have two kids the same age as ours and they all had a ball playing together - especially Chloe & Isabelle. They have a golf cart, which our kids LOVED! They got to go for a few rides and I'm sure that was the hi-light of their weekend.
