February Update

Here are some updates from last weekend.

Chloe wanted to take pictures with the camera. Here's a shot of Jasmine, our cat (who is plotting her escape).

Parker wanted to take a picture of Chloe so here she is smiling sweetly.

Chloe took this one of Parker and me. If you look closely, you'll see Ray in the background. It's not quite the photobomb he's known for.

Here's Parker as he you'll find him a lot at our house. Wearing his ice skates, hitting anything he can find with his hockey stick. He's already pretty good at that hockey player scowl.

We had our last UNO hockey game of the season this past weekend and we also got to see the Lipazzaner Stallions on Valentine's Day. The kids were not nearly as interested as I thought they would be. Plus, Parker took a 4 hour nap so he was rearing to go.

UNO has one more home series (except for the playoffs of course) but we will be in Dallas that weekend. We're looking forward to escaping this dreadful weather. Hopefully Dallas will be much nicer and offer some refreshing sunshine.

Parker Loves Books!

Chloe does this all the time - falls asleep while looking at books in bed. Now Parker has started to do it too. Fortunately, he stayed asleep while the flash went off!

This is his big, big boy bed. He's been in it for awhile now and he will actually sleep in it all night. I'm ashamed to admit that I have bribed him with chocolate (if he sleeps in his bed all night, he gets a piece of chocolate in the morning) but it seems to be working. Work has been so stressful and I really need the sleep.

Parker's First Skate

We finally made it to open skating as a family today. We've been trying to get the kids there for several weeks but the only time the ice is open is during our normal nap time. Chloe wanted to get some extra ice time and Parker has been so excited to get out on the ice. We all had fun and got in a little exercise!

A friend of Ray's gave Parker this hockey helmet and he absolutely loves it. He wears it around the house and hits whatever he can find on the floor with his hockey stick.

Storytime

Ray is reading books to the kids in our room. They look so sweet cuddled up in our bed!

Happy New Year!

Well, it's back to the real world tomorrow. The kids have not been to daycare since 12/23 so Ray and I both have had a lot of time off to spend with them over the holidays. It has been great. We've also gotten to spend a lot of time with Ray's parents, Grandma Fryer (who was stuck in town for over a week because of the snow!), aunts, uncles, cousins and more. We are very blessed to have such a vibrant, happy, healthy family.

I sincerely hope that you and your family have had a wonderful holiday and all of us at the Gibson house wish you many blessings in the new year!

Snuggly Nightgown

Chloe got this warm and very snuggly nightgown from Uncle Tim and Auntie Erin.

Moose

Aunt Lori, Uncle Brad and Courtney & Caitlin sent this adorable moose along with the book If You Give a Moose a Muffin. Parker loves it! He carried it around most of the night and he's snuggled up with it for nap as I type.

He also enjoyed being carried around by Grandpa!
